SUMMARY
An experienced technical manager will be at the helm of a team of engineers based in San Jose and overseas. Qualified candidates should possess expertise in high-speed digital board design (16-20+ Gbps), be adept at hands-on activities, and exhibit exceptional management skills. Primary Duties:
Manage multiple hardware development projects in multiple locations
Conduct high-speed circuit simulation and circuit design reviews
Participate in system design and functionality
Manage PCB layout and simulation. Knowledge of >20Gpbs layout preferred
Manage hardware development schedules, development of system and board-level tests, unit and production tests, mechanical engineering interface, component selection, EMC and CE certification
Interface with operations, manufacturing, customer support, etc.
Qualifications
BS/MS in EE or CE (MS preferred)
10+ years of system/board level design experience- high-speed circuit design, embedded platforms, CPU, memory interfaces, layout, simulation
Minimum of 5 years of experience managing cross-platform engineering teams
Experience with a network product company developing high-speed serial interfaces and circuits
Excellent knowledge of:
High-speed (20Gbps or higher) design methodologies and simulation
Bus technologies like PCIe, USB, SAS/SATA, and Ethernet.
RF/Microwave design techniques and implementation
high-speed circuit design, implementation, and measurements
system development
developing and implementing development processes
Good knowledge of manufacturing processes; EMC/EMI control; schematic entry tools; test and measurement equipment such as real-time oscilloscopes, network and spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers;
